Russell Edgington and Talbot's Remains
Russell is unstable, was before, but he has now lost it since Eric killed his beloved Talbot. The minute Russell felt Talbot’s true death, he flew away in horror. Arriving at his mansion in despair only to find his lover of over 700 years laying on the floor in a puddle of blood and guts. The visual was amazing. Russell was showing so much pain and emotion as he tried to gather Talbot’s remains. He then looks up and notices the Viking crown missing… immediately realizing that Eric Northman is to blame. That was one of the best scenes of Season 3.
Later we find that Russell is lurking near Fangtasia, looking to exact his revenge. He is so out of it that he is speaking to Talbot’s remains that he carries around in a glass urn. Creepy, creepy stuff. He notices that the American Vampire League (AVL) is hovering around Fangtasia and immediately assumes that they are protecting Eric Northman. “They will suffer!” he says. Then flies away in anger.
Meanwhile in the club, Eric is being questioned by The Authority. He explains Russell’s werewolf dealings and of his plans to make humans subordinates. The AVL decides to sweep everything under the rug and let Eric exact his revenge, on his own.
Later on as the show is about to end… a news anchorman is on the air updating the nation on the Vampire Rights Amendment (VRA) when suddenly there is a slight disturbance. The anchor looks to the side briefly but continues on. Then out of no where Russell swoops in and puts his hand through the man’s spine, rips it out, pushes the corpse to the floor and sits down in his place. All while holding onto the man’s spine! TOTALLY UNEXPECTED MOVE!!! Add another one to the True Blood Body Count.
He then goes on to give a speech on national television about what real vampires are. How they will “eat your children”. It was EPIC!!! The best part is when he licks some of the anchorman’s blood from his hand and says something to the effect of “mmm, tasty” or “mmm, delicious”. Russell’s comedian side comes out at the end when he says , “And now for the weather” at the end of his rant.

The AVL is close to having the Vampire Rights Amendment (VRA) passed… Russell’s actions surely put in a wrench in those plans.
I am dying (no pun intended) to see how he meets his demise.
What did you think of his actions? How do you think Eric will get his revenge and Kill Russell.
I don’t think Eric has to worry about Russell anymore, I can see the president picking up the phone to speak to the Joints chiefs of staff at the end of Russel’s performance.
Things are going to get ugly for the vampires with every republican in the country garbing his gun and making wooden bullets.
(I know it’s just a show but it’s soooo good I can’t help but speculate)
I still think Eric should be afraid… very afraid Russell is pretty freaking serious! I can’t wait for Sunday!
I think Russell is pretty much unpredictable at this point.
